Along the coast, near
Aberdour, are the ruins of
Macduff's castle.
This is a view of the North Sea
coast just north of Montrose.
While travelling around
Scotland, I ate lots of fish and
chips. Then, I realized that
they'll batter and deep-fry just
about anything in Scotland,
including hamburgers and
pizza. Deep-fried pizza
certainly tastes different!
Another view of Scotland's
North Sea coast, this time near
Crail. The Balcomie golf
course runs right along the
coast. This is how it looks
from the elevated tee on the
par 3 fourteenth hole.
Scotland has had a long and
turbulent history. There have
been battles between Scottish
clans, battles with England,
and the turmoil of the
Reformation. Therefore,
many of the historic sites in
Scotland are "ruins" that can
be visited.
