Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe, which is 164 feet
high, was planned by Napoleon to celebrate
his military victories. However, it was not
completed until 20 years after his death.
To the right is a view of some of the
carvings on the arch.
I climbed the stairs to the top of the Arc de
Triomphe. From the observation deck,
I could look down the Champs-Elysees
towards Tuileries Garden and the Louvre. On
the right is another memorable sight, the
Eiffel Tower.
