Milford Sound, on the southwest corner of New Zealand's South
Island is one of the wettest places on earth. We were fortunate on
the day we visited to have wonderful weather - crisp and clear
early with clouds, but no rain later in the day. From the majesty of
Mitre Peak that rises more than 5,000 feet from the fjord to the
abundant waterfalls, the views were superb. Here are some of our
