A view from the Acropolis of the Agora, which was
the ancient marketplace and the Hephestaion,
which was built in the 5th century B.C. The
Hephestaion is considered the best preserved
temple in Greece.
Another view from the Acropolis with the Theater of
Dionysos in the foreground. In this theater, which was
built in the 6th century B.C., famous ancient Greek
dramas and comedies were performed. The 1896 Olympic
stadium is behind the hill on the upper left of the picture.
